The Flyfish Journal Winter 2021 issue has been shipped out. Honored and excited to have another photo within these pages among so many other great photographers. My excitement from having my first photo published in the Summer 2021 issue has still not settled, and this is an excellent way to cap off my year.
The photo selected for this issue is one of my friend Grant of the Brown Trout and Bridge Beers Podcast. Here’s the caption I wrote that can be found on at the end of the Rises section of the magazine:
“Fresh snow fell early, blanketing the trees around Wisconsin’s Rush River. The freezing temperatures kept the trees frosty, a scene that made the slow fishing more enjoyable. Frozen, defeated and beer-less, Grant Meyer checked out the hole beneath the bridge to confirm there were still brown trout in the river – just enough motivation to return another cold winter day.”
